Standard Three: Faculty and Staff
3.2 The sponsoring institution and program assure that all faculty and staff
possess the academic and professional qualifications appropriate for
their assignments.
Explanation:
Faculty and clinical staff must possess academic and professional qualifications appropriate for their
assignment. Clinical preceptors and clinical staff supervising students’ performance in the clinical
component of the program must document American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
certification and registration (or equivalent) or other appropriate credentials (LXMO state license).
Health care professionals with credentials other than ARRT certification and registration (or equiva-
lent) may supervise students in specialty areas (e.g., Registered Nurse supervising students perform-
ing patient care skills, phlebotomist supervising students performing venipuncture, etc.).
