Reflecting on the Past, Preparing for the Future-
A Message from the CEO
As we conclude another academic year and look forward to a new year in the fall, it is a
perfect time to reflect upon the past. Many times, we ask ourselves what was successful and

what can be improved. As the CEO of the JRCERT since July 2007 and employed since 1995, I
have had much time to reflect upon the organization and the profession. The JRCERT has
maintained its recognition by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Inside this issue

tradition, idea, or leadership from one individual to another, often implying a sense of
succession or transition. Just as the torch is passed from one runner to another, the time has
come for me to pass the torch with my last official day as CEO of the JRCERT on November 1,
2025. The torch will be passed to Traci Lang, Ed.S., R.T.(R)(T), our current Executive Associate The JRCERT is the only agency
Director. Traci has been with the JRCERT since 2012 in the roles of Accreditation Specialist, recognized by the United States
Assistant Director, and now Executive Associate Director. She is committed to the mission and Department of Education (USDE)
vision of the organization and has demonstrated solid leadership skills in her employment. and the Council for Higher

As you are aware, mentorship, where an experienced individual imparts his or her wisdom and for the accreditation of
skills to a younger or less experienced person, preparing them to take on a particular role or traditional and distance delivery
responsibility in the future, is key to any organization. Not only have I have been mentoring education programs in
Traci for the role of CEO, but the entire JRCERT staff for many years, in the process of radiography, radiation therapy,

well as future needs.
I want to thank our programs and site visitors for their support of programmatic accreditation

Directors, past and current, for their service and mentorship. Finally, I want to thank the
JRCERT staff for their dedication and commitment to the organization and the profession. It
has been a pleasure to have worked with all of you for the past 29 years and I look forward to
seeing you at our conference this November.
