          Conclusion
Equity initiatives ensure equal opportunities and
          inclusiveness for underrepresented populations, which
in turn improve the quality of health care, commu-
nication, and the health status of society. Whether
employed in direct patient care settings, health sciences
education, or administrative positions, radiologic tech-
nologists should strive collaboratively and collectively
to promote and support DEI for a healthier and safer
          society.

vice chairman for the Joint Review Committee on Education
in Radiologic Technology board of directors and is a professor
and medical dosimetry program director for The University
of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
