REAL ID COMPLIANCE
Beginning May 7, 2025, every air traveler at least 18 years of age will require a
REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card, state-issued en-
hanced driver’s license, or other TSA-acceptable form of identification at airport
security checkpoints for domestic air travel. For more information on REAL ID,
visit www.dhs.gov/real-id.
STANDARDS INTERPRETATION UPDATE
At the October 2023 board meeting, the JRCERT Board of Directors adopted a
Standards Interpretation of Objective 1.1 in all modalities. Programs are ad-
vised that if they offer any courses via Distance Education, to promote transpar-
ency, they must disclose on their website the use of distance education courses
in the professional curriculum and applicable fees.

SITE VISITORS NEEDED
You are a great site visitor! Do you know anyone that you think would make just
as good of a site visitor? The JRCERT currently needs individuals who meet the
JRCERT’s definition of a practitioner and those that are distance education
experts.
Practitioner: The JRCERT defines a practitioner as an individual who, on aver-
age, provides or oversees services to patients in a healthcare setting a minimum
of eight (8) hours per week.
Distance Education Experience: Documented development and implementation
of distance education courses or a graduate degree specific to or concentration
in distance education methodologies. The completion of a degree program via
DE methodology is not adequate to meet this criterion.
Additionally, we continue to have a need for site visitors credentialed in radia-
tion therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry.
If you have ever considered becoming a site visitor, please fill out an application
here. If you have any questions about being a site visitor or the site visit pro-
cess, please do not hesitate to contact the office.
